Our friends over at Young Heavy Souls are dropping their first official compilation next week, and we are psyched to check it out. For the unknowing, this album will be the perfect introduction to the YHS crew and all of the talented artists on its roster.

Kimball House Rock’s Sophomore year took place on September 10, 2011. The DJs for the night were Twerkle and Lili K, and the event featured performances from Fess, Ben Babbit, Impolite Society, Cadillac Duke, Raj Mahal, The MPLS Henrys, and many more.

The Deli is an independent publication and website that focuses on local indie music scenes and emerging artists (from rock to folk, from punk to indie pop, with a little bit of hip hop). Among the many talented artists to grace the list(s), Impolite Society were named among The Deli’s best Chicago Hip-Hop acts, placing at Number #11 in Popularity, and Number #15 for Web Buzz. Shout out to Rich Jones (Second City Citizens), who also broke the top 20.
