Chandler London – Ritchie: A Space Odyssey
Boldly go with Chandler London on Ritchie: A Space Odyssey- the introduction to his “rap space-opera.”
As if by transporter, the EP appeared seemingly from out of nowhere and was instantly gobbled up by hungry fans and praised by critics at Chicago Reader, Fake Shore Drive, and Gowhere Hip Hop, among others.
London has a knack for creating imagery more vivid than a Holodeck session; on Ritchie… he does so over instrumentals from Kid Cudi’s Satellite Flight album, which just dropped a few weeks ago.

Netherfriends On NME’s “Radar”
Netherfriends was recently spotted on NME‘s “Radar”- appearing in the publication’s section for new and noteworthy music in its January 25th issue, on newsstands now.
The one-man-band on-the-run will drop his new LP, #P3ACE, on March 3rd, but you can head over to his Bandcamp right now for the first 3 songs (3P).
It’s impossible to say what Shawn Rosenblatt is going to do next. Having already released his ‘50 Songs 50 States’ collection and a Miles Davis-inspired EP, he’s back with yet more new tunes. ‘3P’ consists of (you guessed it) three tracks that are hazier than a coffee shop in Amsterdam. Dabbling in reggae and R&B sensibilities, ‘3P’ is Netherfriends at his most slinky and seductive. This spring’s anthems have come early. – NME

Directed by Adebowale Adesuyi

Hmm, is it the homage to Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing? No. Is it the 90s throwback vibe? No. Is it the fresh features from Chandler London, J Arthur, Dot Kom, and ShowYouSuck? No.
Not sure what it is, really, but when it comes to this new Retrospect video, if the question is “Can I,” the answer is YES.

Nunca Duerma – Dilated
Dilated is the new 3-track EP from Nunca Duerma, released on Eliot Lipp‘s Old Tacoma Records. The EP is a collection of sample-based grooves and layered drums that will resonate on dance floors while also appealing to a critical listener’s sensibilities.
Attuned to the techniques of chopping and resampling, Nunca Duerma uses his affinity for Hip-Hop and expertise of warping to create a complex but appealing set of downtempo, soul-influenced, experimental tracks.
